IDEA Training Collaborative is a nonprofit training centre based in Toronto, offering compliance-focused, trauma‑informed training for shelters, social services, and frontline workers throughout Canada. As the leading provider of Toronto Shelter Standards training and shelter criteria certification programs, we help City of Toronto– financed and purchase‑of‑service shelters remain audit‑ready, document‑strong, and aligned with community requirements.

Our course catalogue includes Toronto shelter criteria online training, shelter support worker certification training, non‑violent crisis intervention (CPI/NVCI) training, UMAB training, crisis avoidance and intervention training Toronto, First Aid and CPR training in Toronto, and ODSP training programs. With adaptable delivery formats– self‑paced e‑learning, live on-line workshops, and in‑person sessions– we make it very easy for organizations to train new staff quickly and keep experienced teams existing.

IDEA Training Collaborative likewise supplies documentation training, instance management certification pathways, crisis monitoring training, and mental health and material use workshops customized to shelter and area support setups.
